If you are preparing to undergo a procedure at the  Jaw Surgery Center of Excellence, you may have questions regarding insurance, billing and costs for our services. There are several types of insurance plans, and understanding the benefits of your health care can sometimes seem overwhelming. At our surgery center, we accept Aetna, Cigna, Health Net and United, but can also accommodate patients with outside plans, and we offer competitive pricing.

We realize that healthcare billing can be confusing and our goal is to make this step of the process as simple as possible. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at (888) 391-3219 if you have any questions regarding payment for an upcoming surgery. You can also contact us to confirm your insurance policy before meeting with one of our doctors. Additionally, we can also offer you a personal coverage assessment.

Insurance Plans Accepted at the Jaw Surgery Center of Excellence

The Jaw Surgery Center of Excellence accepts all PPO plans (Preferred Provider Organizations) and will work directly with your insurance provider to confirm your coverage. PPO plans are one of the most popular types of insurance because they typically provide the most freedom regarding selecting a healthcare provider or facility. We offer free insurance verification, and accept the following PPO insurance plans:

  • Aetna
  • Cigna
  • Health Net
  • United

To accommodate patients with insurance not accepted by the Jaw Surgery Center of Excellence, we offer a competitive cash discount. Specific payment plans for patients with no insurance can be determined by our billing department.

Payments and Fees

When procedures are performed at the Jaw Surgery Center of Excellence, multiple services may be involved, which are then factored into the overall cost of care. The Jaw Surgery Center of Excellence charges a facility fee for each procedure that is performed in our outpatient surgery center, and this fee does not include fees for your surgeon, consulting physician, anesthesiologist,  or required lab and pathology work. These additional fees vary by procedure.

Each patient is responsible for payments for their procedure prior to going into surgery, including your estimated deductible and co-payments. We accept cash, personal checks (co-pay ONLY), VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card and American Express. We will then bill your insurance carrier on your behalf.

Outpatient Surgery Benefits

When choosing a surgical facility, it is important to factor both cost and quality. As an outpatient surgery center, the Jaw Surgery Center of Excellence offers personalized, high-quality care in a controlled and safe environment.

Our world-renowned physicians, unique structure, and state-of-the-art technology enable us to perform certain procedures on an outpatient basis that would require inpatient hospital stay at other facilities. Inpatient hospital stay can be very expensive, and because of this, many of our patients find that our services are comparable or even less expensive than in a hospital setting.

Because the Jaw Surgery Center of Excellence is a non-emergency, elective surgical center, our patients are much less likely to contract an infection, and do not experience long delays. Additionally, our doctors work with the same staff and nurses every day, which translates to reduced time under anesthesia and more efficient surgery. Because of these standards, the Jaw Surgery Center of Excellence has gained a reputation among doctors as the “go to” center for the best outpatient surgical care.
